He's gonna steal all teh babies! Or maybe just...creep.
Spriggans inhabit dark, damp areas of the world. Their posture is hunched due to spending most of their time in caverns and tunnels with lower ceilings. Hunched over, they are approximately 3 feet in height; however, when standing upright, they reach heights of around 6 feet. Their skin is a dewy, mottled green or gray. They bind knives and other various sharp implements to their wrists via bandages (that I forgot to draw.)
Spriggans hunt in small packs of 4 to 8, ganging up on their prey and dragging it down with their claws and weight. Just because they travel in packs does not mean they get along. Spriggans are just as likely to turn on one of their own if prey is scarce.
A Spriggan's territory is easy to spot, deep claw marks mark the walls and floors. A Spriggan itself is a master of camouflage. These amphibious creatures move very slowly and carefully, and when they sense prey coming they hide in wait of ambush. A Spriggan will typically be found near a dark place with a source of water. Sewers, underground creaks, or even abandoned houses along the river all serve them well.
He's a creeper, especially with the stringy hair on his back. Like the kind of creeper that watches you while you pee. That should be his encounter power.
Definitely a nasty little bugger Real nice job on the coloring too. Great color pallet, great mood, and your background to foreground transition works rather nicely
I agree with the "watches you while you pee" comment. If I ever go camping again I'll be looking for him...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
